Bharat Ki Shaan eh? who will be 'it' when all the good ones are clearly standing in line for elimination??
The reality show that is being aired on Sony entertainment Television is designed to find the next singing sensation of India. So far, the contestants have gone through two rounds of selection. The rounds were judged by 4 Moguls of the music industry- Anu Malik, Alisha Chinnai, Javed Akhtar and Udit Narayan. There is no doubt that they will have chosen the best of the participants.
However, now the contest has moved on to the Piano Round i.e. round 3 of the contest. Here the contestants have to perform and the public i.e. the viewers vote. So, I think we have to question the authenticity of the results. How many people are actually voted out i.e. by not receiving any votes? This does not seem to be much of a problem here as the contestants are ordinary people. They can influence the viewers only by their performance. Or may be not.

She considers him as a guru and inspiration for her music. Or maybe the viewers just did not like her hair colour?!!!!! But no amount of reasoning justifies her being eliminated from the contest.
Not that the contestants will miss out much by not being Indian Idol. In retrospect, there have been 2 previous Indian Idols who have vanished into oblivion. So, in a way Pinky is now free to reach her goal of challenging Shakira, Whitney Houston et al.
